ROUND 22 gave us more upsets with six "away" teams winning. Our winner for this year with a total score of 121 is Helen Doig. Well done Helen, a great result. Just two games behind Helen on 119 is our second place getter in Betty Hanley, another very "consistent" tipper. Equal third just one behind Betty on 118 are Margaret Aristei and Don Doig and they share the prize money for third. On 117, again just one game further back we have Susan Brayshaw, Marc Di Sabato, Margaret Reeves and Brian Wren. Again, congratulations to all our prize winners and to those who gave them a run for the money. The 8/8 was not selected this week, but we did have two who selected 7/8 - Rebecca Foster and "KJR" - well done to you both, but the "unclaimed" jackpot of $100-00 at the end of the season goes to Rebecca Foster with a total score of 81. Rebecca obviously tips from the "heart" and not the "head". Good on you Rebecca. Thanks to all who entered the competition this year - hope you enjoyed it and we look forward to running this again next year. Hopefully 2010 will be "kinder" to the Fremantle and West Coast supporters. By the support given by everyone, we managed to raise $650-00 for the Club. Many thanks and see you next year. ROUND 21 What a weekend this proved to be with 15 selecting 7/8 but no one selecting the complete 8/8. Most missed either Geelong or St Kilda, still this makes the last week very interesting with the jackpot worth $100-00. If it is NOT selected, this will go to whoever is on the bottom of the tipping ladder, and at the moment, that person is Rebecca Foster - keep your fingers crossed Rebecca that the last week will bring out a couple of upsets. Going into the final round out leader is Helen Doig on 116, after selecting 7/8. One behind Helen on 115 are Susan Brayshaw and Betty Hanley, on 114 we have Margaret Aristei, Marc Di Sabato and Brian Wren, and on 113 are Don Doig and Margaret Reeves. It seems likely that our winners will come from this group. To the rest of us, lets select the 8/8 and win $100-00 !!! |

ROUND 20 and it is getting harder and harder to select winners. Only 3 people selected 6/8 - Helen Doig, Marion Spargo and Mel Wren. Well done ladies. We now have a new leader - Susan Brayshaw on 110. That's good consistent tipping Susan!!. Right behind Susan on 109 are Helen Doig and Betty Hanley, followed on 108 by Marc Di Sabato and Brian Wren. With no winner this week, it means that Round 21 is worth $80-00 for selecting 8/8. With just two rounds to go, good luck to all. |

ROUND 19 gave us the most "upset" wins for the year so far - both Fremantle and West Coast winning the same weekend, besides Geelong and last years premiers Hawthorn being beaten. Even with a drawn game, the highest score this week was 6/8 by Alex Foster, Rebecca Foster, Mike Kessell, Russell McKenny, Ollie & Dot, and Pam Zscharnagk. Well done to you all. Our leader is still Betty Hanley who selected 3/8 is on 106. On 105, just behind Betty are Susan Brayshaw and Joyce Wootton, and on 104 are Marc Di Sabato and Brian Wren. The 8/8 Jackpot for Round 20 is now worth $60-00. |

ROUND 18 gave us no winner of 8/8 but did give us a new overall leader. Helen Doig had a bad week this week and our new leader is Betty Hanley. Betty is on 103, with a 2 game lead over Susan Brayshaw, Marc Di Sabato and Joyce Wootton all on 101. Just a further game behind them on 100 are Margaret Aristei, Don Doig, Helen Doig and Brian Wren. With $100-00 still up for grabs, we can start looking at the "other end" of the ladder, keeping in mind that the person here collects all unclaimed monies. At this stage on 61 games we have Rebecca Foster - looking good Rebecca !!! |
