Round 10

ROUND 10 gave us some good tipping results even though two games were won by 4 points or less. There has now been a bit of a shuffle on our leaders board, but first, who were our best tipsters this week?

On a great score of 8/9 we had David Kitto, Pam Northcott, SKID, and Pam Zscharnagk, BUT two ladies went one better and had the perfect score of 9/9. This week we congratulate Lois Reid and Faye Scorer for their excellent tipping and they share the jackpot of $120-00, winning $60-00 each. Well Done!!

ANZACS remains our leader, and now on 62, is good consistent tipping. T & M O’Reilly moves into second place on 61, and we have a few new people moving into equal third on a score of 60: Fran Chamberlain, Shirley Christie, Don Doig, Greg Harper, Andrew Mitchell, Natasha Wilson, and Nola Wilson. This gives us 9 people separated by 2 points or less, which is very exciting.

With Lois and Faye taking out the jackpot, next week, we have another $40-00 up for the offering, so good luck to everyone.

Round 9

ROUND 9 once again gave us some very close results that could have gone either way and changed the tipping results quite dramatically. Three games were decided by a goal or less and the last game of the round ended in a drawn game. No one selected 9/9, but we did have three people with 7/9 – Mike Kessell, Margaret Kitto and Michael Spadanuda. That’s great tipping.

We now have just one person at the top of our ladder on the great score of 56 – ANZACS. Once again some very consistant tipping. Just one game further back on 55 are Fran Chamberlain, Shirley Christie, Greg Harper and Natasha Wilson, with another three people sitting on 54.

With no winner this week our jackpot continues to rise and next week is now worth $120-00.

Good Luck everyone

Round 8

ROUND 8 gave us some good tipping, with one game being an upset for most of us—Hawthorn beating Brisbane!

We did not have a winner this week, but two people selected 8/9—Fran Chamberlain and Don Doig. Great tipping to you both.

It is starting to become a bit crowded at the top of our leaders’ board as we have 12 people within 2 points of each other. On a score of 50 are our leaders – ANZACS, Fran Chamberlain, Shirley Christie and Greg Harper – followed on 49 by Colin Matthews, Andrew Mitchell and Natasha Wilson with another 5 people on 48. That is some great tipping by everyone.

With no winner this week, our Jackpot for next week is $80-00, so good luck, everyone.

Round 7

ROUND 7 gave us some excellent scores – possibly helped by the fact we all scored wins for the Sunday games due to the misprint and also a drawn game for which everyone gets a correct tip. We had 10 people with a score of 8/9 but we also had two people with that elusive perfect score of 9/9. This week we say congrats to Andrew Mitchell and Chris Wilson, who receive $20-00 each for their achievement. Well done!

We now have joint leaders on our tipping ladder. On a score of 45 are ANZACS and Greg Harper. Just one game behind on 44 is Andrew Mitchell, with Shirley Christie and Mike Concannon one further back on 43. To round off the leaders we have 9 people on 42 so watch out – here they come.

With Andrew and Chris taking out our jackpot, we have another $40-00 up for the taking next weekend, so good luck with your tipping.

Round 6

ROUND 6 proved to be a very hard round to select the winners; in fact, if you scored more than 4, you did very well. That being said, we did have one person who achieved that perfect score of 8/8. We say congrats and well done to Kevin Farrell, and for his efforts, Kevin collects $80-00.

We have also had a bit of a shuffle at the top of our leader’s board. Our leader on 39 is Greg Harper – great consistent tipping Greg. On 38 are ANZACS, followed by Mark Chamberlain and Lena Wilkinson, both on 36, with another 4 people on 34.

Remember, as we mentioned at the start of the season, the West Australian misprinted the entire season when it printed it. It noted “7 games only” for Round 7 and did not print the two Sunday games. There are, in fact, 9 games next week, so we will give everyone 2 correct tips for the Sunday games, so everyone starts with 2/2 for next week—good tipping, folks!

With Kevin taking out our Jackpot this week,  next week is worth $40-00 once again, so good luck.

Round 5

Hi evereyone

ROUND 5 gave some very difficult matches to try and select winners with three matches having winning margins of less than a goal. Most of us missed the first two winners and most of us selected West Coast to win their first game of the year.

There was no perfect score this week but the best result was 7/8 and was scored by ANZACS – missed Adelaide defeating Carlton (a 2 point difference). Great tipping!

Mark Chamberlain remains our leader and is now on 34. On 33, we have ANZACS and Greg Harper with Mike Concannon just one further back on 32,

Round 4

Hi Everyone,

With some great tipping this week, even though we had 9 games to select, it was good to see. Whether with 16 teams playing “away” so the home team advantage did not come into play made it a little easier, or if it was just good tipping we had some great results. A large group of people selected 7/9, five people selected 8/9 and we had one person as our first to get the perfect score of 9/9.

Here we say congrats to Greg Harper!  For his efforts this week, Greg collects our jackpot of $160-00!

This also puts Greg on the top of our Competition Board with a score of 28, which he shares with Mark Chamberlain. Good consistant tipping guys.consistent tipping. Just one game behind on 27 are Fran Chamberlain and Mike Concannon with another 8 people on 26.

Next week, we have eight games to select winners, and our jackpot returns to $40-00, so good luck to everyone.

Round 4

Hi Everyone,

We hope you all had a happy Easter and that the Easter Bunny left you plenty of eggs to find. Hopefully, they were easier to find than it was to find a winner this round. If only Collingwood would get their act together. When most of us finally tipped them to be beaten, they won their first game!

No one selected all eight winners, in fact the highest score was 6/8, which was achieved by quite a few.

Fran Chamberlain is our current leader and is on 22. Great tipping, Fran. Just one game behind Fran are ANZACS and Mark Chamberlain, both on 21, with another seven people sitting on 20.

Next week is the “Gather Round”, where all teams travel to Adelaide to play, giving a round of 9 games to select winners.

With no winner this week, we now have a jackpot of $160-00 up for grabs, so good luck, everyone.

Round 2

Hi Everyone,

Well, it is obvious from the tipping that Collingwood has really thrown a spanner in the works this year, and with only 8 games this round, no one managed to select 8/8. We had three people select 7/8 and no guessing which game they missed. Those three very clever people are Della Chamberlain, Mike Concannon and Colin Matthews. Great tipping, folks, and hopefully, Collingwood will help you next week, one way or the other.

We have three people sitting at the top of our leader’s board after Round 2 with some great tipping. They are all on 16/21. Here we congratulate
Fran Chamberlain, Mike Concannon and Natasha Wilson.

Next week, we again have eight games to select, and with Thursday Night’s game being between last year’s two Grand Finalists (Collingwood and Brisbane) and neither team has yet had a win, it should prove interesting and may help with our tips. Our jackpot for next week is now $120-00, so keep your fingers crossed that we might have a winner.

Good Luck to everyone next week and have a happy and safe Easter.

Round 1

Hi Everyone,

Well, the footy season is now in full swing with (finally) all teams playing and so far some interesting results – the most unusual is that the two teams that played in the Grand Final last year are both sitting with 0/2. This has caused a bit of a problem with the tipping. Only 1 entrant this week selected Sydney to defeat Collingwood – well done to “T & M O’Reilly.”

Four people scored 8/9, and for this, we say congrats to Fran Chamberlain, T & M O’Reilly, Kylie Squiers and Natasha Wilson.

Already, the ladies are showing the way to select winners. Our leader on 11/13 is Kylie Squiers – great tipping Kylie! Fran Chamberlain, Helen Doig, and Natasha Wilson follow Kylie very closely on ten.

With no one selecting 9/9 this week, it means that our jackpot for next week will be $80-00, so keep your fingers crossed that your tipping goes
to plan.

Good Luck Everyone.
