Tennis Court Hire Perth
Welcome to Melville Palmyra Tennis Club’s court hire page! Our club is located in the beautiful city of Perth, and we’re proud to offer some of the best tennis courts in the area. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, our courts are the perfect place to practice your skills, meet new people, and have fun.
We have a range of tennis court options available to suit your needs. Our hard courts are perfect for those who prefer a faster game, while our grass courts provide a more forgiving surface for those still learning. Our courts are well-maintained and regularly cleaned to ensure the best playing conditions.
Our tennis court hire rates are affordable and competitive, with discounts available for club members. We also offer a range of tennis program, coaching and training options for those looking to improve their game. Our experienced coaches are available to help you with everything from technique to strategy and can tailor their approach to suit your individual needs.
All Members and Non-Members are required to book all courts online.
Our Tennis Courts
All tennis courts must be booked at least 1 hour before arrival, with a minimum booking period of 1 hour; 15 minutes thereafter. If you book a court, you are expected to show up or cancel/reschedule (see Cancellations and Refunds policy below); otherwise, this prevents other players from booking the courts. Members can book up to 14 days in advance; Non-members can book up to 7 days in advance.

Guests
Members may bring up to three guests to play on the same court. If additional tennis courts are required, these must be hired at non-member rates. We would encourage guests to consider membership.
Visitors
Visitors are invited to join Social play on weekdays and Sunday afternoons (see Club Calendar for times). A complimentary visit is offered for first-time visitors. The fee thereafter is $10 on weekdays, evenings, and Sundays. Payment can be made online through the website or by cash. Please check in at the Captain’s Table upon arrival.
Grass Courts
Grass Courts are only available during the daylight hours when Social and Competitive play is not scheduled. Members and Non-Members may book from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm (May-Nov), and from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm (Dec-April). If your booked grass court is under maintenance (i.e., no net), please feel free to play on an adjacent court, if available. We will attempt to identify these courts in advance of bookings.
Hard Courts
Hard courts are available for Member, and Non-Member bookings from 6:00 am until 10:30 pm.
Access to hard courts is via an SMS or email confirmation PIN code that must be entered at the front and back gates. Enter the PIN code followed by the # sign. Please allow up to 45 minutes after booking for the code to become activated. The PIN code will be active 15 minutes before the start time until 15 minutes after the booked time. Please ensure to take all your belongings when leaving and close the gate securely.
If booking an evening time slot, please note that it takes a few minutes for the lights to come on after entering the PIN code.
Dress Code
To protect our courts, appropriate tennis footwear must be worn during play. Black soled shoes are not permitted on the hard courts and rippled soled shoes are not permitted on the grass courts.
Equipment
All players must provide their own balls and rackets. Balls are available for purchase in the vending machines adjacent to the Padel Courts.
Cancellations & Refunds
Bookings may be modified or cancelled up to 3 hours before play via the online booking system and will be automatically refunded to the method of payment used at the time of booking.
For cancellations due to circumstances out of your control less than 3 hours before play, a request may be made by email to admin@melvilletenniscentre.com.au no later than the date of the cancelled booking. A refund will be organized for all valid claims.
Weather Conditions
In the event of inclement or extreme heat, we suggest you monitor conditions, cancel your booking 3 hours before your booking time, and rebook if the weather clears.
