How It Works
Players of all levels enjoy organized sets of doubles and mixed doubles.
Tennis balls are provided for all social play; however, players must supply their own rackets. To protect our courts, appropriate tennis footwear must be worn during play. Black soled shoes are not permitted on the hard courts and rippled soled shoes are not permitted on the grass courts.
Visitors of all ages and levels of play are always welcome to play social tennis.
Please check in at the Set Captain’s table upon arrival.

Mid-Week Social Tennis
Played Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (women only), and Fridays from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm November to June on grass courts and 9:00 am – 12:00 pm July to October on hardcourts.
Upon arrival, players check in at the Set Captain’s table.
Sets are drawn up by the Set Captain and appear on the set board displayed at the table.
Sets are approximately 22 minutes and are timed by the Set Captain. Once time is called, each court will finish the current game and head off the court. Standard scoring applies.
The typical play is four sets. If you leave before noon, you must inform the Set Captain so your name will be removed from rotation.
Morning tea is served between the second and third sets for a $1.00 charge.
Cost: Free to members, $10 adult non-members, $5 junior (18 and under) non-members paid by cash or through Club Spark here.
Sunday Social Tennis
Played from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm throughout the year.
The grass courts are used in the summer months, and the hardcourts are used during winter. Upon arrival, players check in at the Set Captain’s table.
Sets are drawn up by the Set Captain and appear on the set board displayed at the table. Sets are approximately 25 minutes and are timed by the Set Captain. Once time is called, each court will finish the current game and head off the court. Standard scoring applies.
The typical play is four sets. If you leave before 5 pm, you must inform the Set Captain so your name will be removed from rotation.
Afternoon tea is served around 4:00 pm for a $1.00 charge.

Thursday Fast 4 Tennis
(Will resume in February)
Played Thursday evenings from 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm throughout the year on hard courts.
Players of all ages and skill levels are invited to play together in a shortened format of tennis.
Fast 4 Tennis is a modified game that provides a faster pace yet enjoyable match, with quicker sets, sudden death points, and consistent rotations of players.
Matches are the best of three sets, with the sets shortened to four games each. Upon arrival, check-in at the hardcourts. Sets are drawn up by the Set Captain.
Scoring is modified so please ask for instructions and rules before play.
Please inform the Set Captain if you leave early. Full bar facilities are available during and after the session.

Women’s Social Tennis Thursday
