2026 Footy Tipping Results

He Everyone,

Here are the final comments for the last three rounds and details of our winners.

ROUND 22 turned out to be "stinker" of a round to try and select a winner with our top score of 7/9 achieved by only a few people. At the end of the round we had three people on the top of our ladder, all on 133 - Shirley Christie, Roger Hooper and Margaret Kitto, With no winner the jackpot for round 23 increased to $120-00.

ROUND 23 and we had two drawn games meaning you only had seven games to select winners to take out the jackpot.  We had about 16 people with a score of 8/9 but we did have three people with the perfect score. For this we congratulate Fran Chamberlain, David Kitto and Nola Wilson who share the $120-00, getting $40-00 each. We had just one person at the end of this round as our leader on a score of 141 - Margaret Kitto. Well done Margaret. This means our jackpot for the last round was worth $40-00

ROUND 24 gave us a few upsets and no one selected the 9/9, but it gave us a change in the leader board. Our winner this year on a score of 148 is our international tipster Roger Hooper. Roger wins $300-00 for his great work. One game further back on 147 was Margaret Kitto who wins $200-00, and again just one game further back on 146 we had three people - Shirley Christie, Greg Harper and Lois Reid, sharing the third prize money of $150-00, collecting $50-00 each. With no one selecting 9/9 the jackpot was not won so half ($20-00) goes to the tennis club and the other half ($20-00) goes to the person at the bottom of our ladder. Kevin Farrell collects this $20-00.

Congratulations to all our winners over the season. We had 22 people win some amount of money this year so well done to everyone.

We hope you all enjoyed the season's footy tipping competition and thanks for taking part, so now lets look to the finals. On a completely UNBIASED viewpoint we say GO DOCKERS!!!

Cheers

Round 21

ROUND 21 gave us some surprising results that have made significant differences in the AFL Ladder heading into the last three rounds - Brisbane being defeated by Carlton have now dropped out of the top 4, being replaced by Adelaide. With Geelong defeating Collingwood, Collingwood have dropped to 9th and both of them are in the 7-10 position for the extra game to qualify (if they stay where they are currently.)

Lets try and make some sense of how all our tipping went this year based on last year's final ladder.

2025 LADDER CURRENT POSITION after Home/away

1 Adelaide 4
2 Geelong 7
3 Brisbane 5
4 Collingwood 9
5 GWS 12
6 Fremantle 1
7 Hawthorn 3
8 Western Bulldogs 8

Sydney Swans (currently 2nd) finished last season in 12th position, and Melbourne (currently 6th) finished 14th.

NOW looking at our tipping ladder..... With Carlton defeating Brisbane this put the cat among the pigeons for most of us. No one selected 9/9 but three did score 7/9. These great tipsters this week are Gail Harper, Roger Hooper and Faye Scorer. Congrats to you all.

We have joint leaders on our ladder but even that has changed. Our leaders on 127 are now Roger Hooper and Margaret Kitto. On 126 are Shirley Christie, Helen Doig, Steve Doig and Greg Harper. One further back on 125 we have Mike Concannon, Andrew Mitchell and Nola Wilson and breathing down their backs, all on 124, are Colin Matthews, Lois Reid and Natasha Wilson. This means we have twelve people separated by just 3 points, and with 27 more games before the end of the Home and Away season, ANYTHING can happen, even the group we have on 123 or 122, so good luck and keep it going.

With no winner this week, next week the jackpot will be $160-00 with another $80-00 to give away the following two weeks. As we always do, IF the jackpot is not won the last week, whatever money it is worth is paid out - half to the person at the "other" end of the ladder and half paid to the tennis club. We have a close competition for this also as at the moment Kevin Farrell is on 89 and Pam Zscharnagk is on 97.

This is our last report until after Round 24 when all our winners will be advertised. Over the season we give away $1,610-00 overall.

Good Luck to you all.

Cheers

Round 20

ROUND 20 gave us some big winning margins. Five games had winning margins of more than 50 points with the closest game being a difference of 13 points - the game between Carlton and Gold Coast Suns. Being the big margin games also resulted in some high tipping scores this week. We had one winner on 9/9 and here we congratulate "LCCGTP" who wins our Jackpot of $80-35. Well done. We had three people score 8/9 - Fran Chamberlain, Colin Matthews and Lois Reid. Great tipping to you also.

Our ladder has had a huge change again this week - we now have joint leaders and 11 people separated by two points!!!

On 121 we have Steve Doig and Margaret Kitto - out joint leaders. Good steady tipping.

On 120 are Shirley Christie, Helen Doig, Greg Harper, Roger Hooper, Colin Matthews and Andrew Mitchell.

On 119 are Mike Concannon, Lois Reid and Nola Wilson.

Next week our Jackpot returns to $40-00 and with just 4 weeks remaining we have $160-00 in jackpot funds to give away before the prize money for the top three.

ALSO Next week will be the last report giving details of the tipping results and standings. This means that for the last three weeks no one will know who is in front, did the jackpot go off etc. Even if you know that you have selected 9/9 were you the only winner etc. All will be revealed after Round 24 is completed.

Looking forward to our last report next week and good luck to EVERYONE!

Cheers,

CHRIS AND NOLA WILSON

Round 19

ROUND 19 gave us some strange results. The team that defeated the Dockers 2 weeks ago (GWS), this week lost to the team at the bottom of the ladder (Essendon) who had won only one game, six "away" teams won - so much for the home ground advantage, and now there is just one game between the 2nd placed team and the 6th place team on the AFL Ladder.

Showing just how hard it was to select winners this week, we had just two people select 7/9. For their great tipping we salute Colin Matthews and Natasha Wilson. Well done to you both.

Our best tipping ladder has also seen a huge change. We now have a new leader on a score of 115 - Steve Doig. Well done Steve. One game behind Steve on 114 are Helen Doig, Greg Harper, Margaret Kitto and Andrew Mitchell. One game further back on 113 we have Shirley Christie, Mike Concannon, Roger Hooper, Natasha Wilson and Nola Wilson, and putting the pressure on them just one further back on 112 are Colin Matthews and Mark Rule. We have 12 people separated by just 3 games. This is going to be a nail biting finish in the race to the money at the conclusion.

With no winners this week, our jackpot for next week is $80-35 so good luck to everyone in your tipping.

Cheers

Round 19

ROUND 19 RESULTS and what a round of results it was. The top two teams playing against each other in a great quality game, Collingwood falling over the line once more with a 4 point win, 8 home teams winning and it all proved to be some great results in our footy tipping competition. So much so, we had 11 people with the perfect score. We say our congratulations to:- Ask & Tim, Shirley Christie, Steve Doig, Greg Harper, Tauel Harper, Margaret Kitto, Andrew Mitchell, Mike O'Rafferty, Mark Rule, Steve Taylor and Natasha Wilson. They shared our Jackpot which stood at $80-10. They won $7-25 each.

The leaders board is getting a little cramped with 6 of our 11 winners this week amongst out leaders and with just 6 rounds to go, anyone can win, even people out this leaders group.

Helen Doig is now on 111, two games clear of Mike Concannon, Steve Doig and Greg Harper who are all on 109. On 108 we have Margaret Kitto and Andrew Mitchell, followed by Shirley Christie, Roger Hooper and Natasha Wilson all on 107. This give us nine people separated by just 4 games with just 54 games to go (just 6 weeks before the finals).

Next week our jackpot is worth $40-35. At this stage we have 17 people who have selected 9/9 and will be receiving money at the end of the season, so we wish good luck to everyone and we hope to increase this number in the next 6 weeks.

Cheers

Round 18

ROUND 18 gave us some mixed results. Both WA teams losing, some big margin winners and two matches that were decided by a goal or less.

It proved a difficult week to pick winners. The best result was 8/9 and this was LCCGTP - well done, with two people scoring 7/9 - Margaret Kitto and Christian Prendergast. The remainder of us scored 6 or less. Hopefully our teams will do better for us next week.

Helen Doig is still our leader and is now on 103. Helen has now been our leader for the longest continual time for a few years now. Well done Helen. Back on 101 is Mike Concannon, followed by Steve Doig , Greg Harper and Roger Hooper all on 100. The next group we have Margaret Kitto and Andrew Mitchell on 99, followed by Shirley Christie, Natasha Wilson and Nola Wilson all on 98.

With no winner this week, next week our jackpot is worth $80-10 so good luck to everyone for some great tipping.

Cheers

Round 16

ROUND 16 and the last of the rounds of only 7 games. Next week we revert to 9 games right through to the end of the tipping season.

We finally had a winner - more correctly we had three winners. Congratulations go to Don Doig, Helen Doig and Kylie Squiers. Great tipping with all the home teams winning. They share the jackpot of $280-00, receiving $93-30 each (with a carry over of 10c for the Jackpot this week).

Scoring 7/7, Helen remains our top tipster and is now on a score of 97. Fantastic consistent tipping Helen. In second position on 96 is Mike Concannon, followed by Steve Doig on 95. Behind these top three people we have groups. On 94 are Greg Harper, Roger Hooper, and Andrew Mitchell, closely followed on 93 by Shirley Christie, Mark Rule and Nola Wilson.

Next week we have a jackpot of $40-10 for selecting all 9 winners

Good luck to everyone and we hope the teams follow all have wins for you.

Cheers

Round 15

ROUND 15 gave us the second last round of just 7 games before all the byes have been completed and we return to full rounds of 9 games. It also proved a mixed bag of results.

No one managed the perfect score but two people just missed sharing the money, both scoring 6/7. This week we congratulate Christian Prendergast and Pam Zscharnagk for their great results - both missing the same game.

The ladder has taken quite a change this weekend. We have 11 people separated by just two games. We have JOINT LEADERS who are both on the fantastic score of 90. Helen Doig has been joined by Mike Concannon as our joint leaders. Great consistent tipping from you both. One game behind our leaders, on 89, are Steve Doig, Greg Harper, Roger Hooper and Andrew Mitchell, and just one game further back (just 2 games off the lead) on 88 are Shirley Christie, Margaret Kitto, Chris Wilson, Natasha Wilson and Nola Wilson.

With no winner once again, next week the jackpot hits the fantastic amount of $280-00. It seems we go better when we have to pick 9 winners. Here's hoping we have a group of winners to share this great amount, so good luck to everyone.

CHRIS AND NOLA WILSON

Round 14

ROUND 14 and with four teams having their bye, we had just 7 games to pick winners. We had three games decided by a total combined difference of 13 points, and the other four games with very decisive margins and still no one managed to select all 7 winners. Nine people were very close picking 6/7 winners, missing different games to collect our jackpot. The nine people who were just one off the money were Tim & Ash, Fran Chamberlain, Shirley Christie, Steve Doig, Gail Harper, Roger Hooper, LCCGTP, Andrew Mitchell and Chris Wilson. Good tipping and better luck next week.

Our leading group is becoming very compact with 13 people being separated by just 4 games. Helen Doig is STILL our leader and is now on a total of 87 points and leads by just 2 points over Mike Concannon, Steve Doig, Greg Harper, Andrew Mitchell and Chris Wilson, who are all on 85. One point further back on 84 we have Shirley Christie, Roger Hooper and Margaret Kitto, while just one point behind this group on 83 are Gail Harper, Mark Rule, Natasha Wilson and Nola Wilson. It is interesting to see that the breakup of the top group are 7 males and 6 females, proving that the knowledge of football is spread evenly between the sexes. Well done everyone.

With no winner once more, our jackpot for this coming week, where we only have 7 games, becomes the great sum of $240-00 so hopefully a few people manage to score the required 7/7 and collect some of this money....

Good luck to everyone who has a team playing this week.

Cheers

Round 13

ROUND 13, and with only 8 games to select it should be a little easier.

The footy teams however made it very difficult. Five matches were decided by a goal or less, another by just 8 points, and then there was Fremantle. Even the home ground advantages did not help with only 2 home teams winning.

The top tipping score this week was 6/8 and only two people achieved this. Congrats go to Greg Harper and LCCGTP for doing this. The most popular score was 5/8, with too many to list.

Helen Doig remains our leader and is now on a score of 83. Well done Helen. Three games behind Helen on 80 are Mike Concannon and Greg Harper, followed on 79 by Steve Doig, Margaret Kitto, Andrew Mitchell, Mark Rule and Chris Wilson. One game further back on 78 are Shirley Christie, Lois Reid, Natasha Wilson and Nola Wilson.

With no winner again this week, next week we have a jackpot of $200-00 just sitting there waiting, and next week only 7 games for the Round so here's to hoping we have a few winners next week.

Good luck to everyone out there.
