OPENING ROUND consisted of 5 games including all four teams from Queensland and New South Wales to try and grab attention away from the NRL, and an obligatory two Melbourne teams to keep the Vic's happy.
Already we have had a bit of an upset with last year's Premiership team being defeated by a team that didn't make the top 8 last year. This game in particular threw a spanner in the works with most tipping with no one selecting all 5 winners.
We had 9 people people select 4/5 and now looking forward to Round 1 being 9 games, with Fremantle and West Coast both playing away.
